How To Fix Lagging On Android Devices


Everyone gets happy when they get a new smartphone, we all are eager to explore the features the phone posses. After some few weeks, the phone starts getting slow and lag. We all get frustrated seeing our phone lag, but we never realize it happened due to our mistakes. Sometimes, due to the happiness of getting a new phone, we start downloading unimportant things which can actually modify our default settings. Most of us who really love games, movies, music, etc download them from untrusted sites. Some of the files and applications we download might be malicious files, malware, viruses which can deteriorate the performance of your smartphone. Lots of us get frustrated and start thinking of getting a new phone, but you can actually fix it with some few steps.

Before giving you the steps of fixing slow performance I would like to explain lagging:

Lagging is when the demands you request from your phone is way higher than its main abilities, requesting higher demands brings a lot of issues to your smartphone. Your Android smartphone begins to lag, it overheats, etc.

Tip 1: Restart Your Device 

The simplest means of solving the issue of lagging is by simply restarting your smartphone.

After restarting the phone, it automatically stops app running on the background and refresh your phone to start working again. This tip is really recommended for heavy phone users due to their excessive use, it is recommended they restart their smartphone more than five times a day.

Tip 2: Disabling Auto Sync

Apps that auto synchronize in background slows down your phone. This happens when they're many apps doing so. Social media applications, emailing apps, the browser is very common apps that auto sync. You can disable them with these few steps:

Step 1: Go to setting
Step 2: Click on Accounts, if you don't see it on your smartphone search for it.
Step 3: You'll see three dotted lines placed at top right, tap on it.
Step 4: Then disable Auto-sync data.

After doing that, it means you're done disabling auto-sync. It is advisable not to disable this because it stops app from loading messages on the background.

Tip 3: Low Memory Space 

This is a major reason for smartphone lagging, it is simply because of low storage memory. The best thing to do is to free the space.

Doing so would reduce the task performed by the smartphone.

Tip 4: Stop Excessive Usage 

Some of us use our smartphones for very large amounts of time playing games, playing music and videos. We recommend after doing those things you should take a break from your phone. Most times when we excessively use our smartphones we have to keep an eye on the RAM.  If the ram is filled up there's no two ways about it, your phone start lagging.

To fix low RAM memory, all you have to do is to clear recent apps.
