After so much hype, Chinese Manufacturer declared his new Huwaei smartphone will "rewrite photography rules". Rewriting photography rules requires a lot of amazing features, with that in mind. Huwaei P30 Pro has a quad camera system that brings about a 5 times the normal optical zoom, bold claims for low light performance, huge 50 times digital zones and 10 times hybrid zoom.
It also has features like an in-display fingerprint scanner, a quite big screen, average battery capacity, and the most amazing feature - wireless charging.
Within years Huwaei has improved, even though it's obvious they can't be compared to Samsung, they still have a good say in the market even it comes to excellent smartphone features. It has premium designs with eye catchy colors, such as - Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black and Aurora.
Design & Display
Premium Design
In-display Fingerprint Scanner
Huwaei P30 Pro has a stripped slim bezel above its screen and below the screen, while the bottom the fingerprint scanner is embedded in the display. It makes it easier to use the fingerprint sensor. The In-display fingerprint scanner allows the screen to further extend to the base.
According to the test which was taken, the fingerprint scanner is quite hard to set, it also consumes time, because it's better to use both thumbs and forefingers for ease. If you finally set it up, you'll realize the scanner works perfectly with an unthinkable accuracy and speed.
It's so amazing to use a Gorilla Glass Screen, you don't have to worry about the broken screen. The curved shape allows users to easily take a grip of the phone. Huwaei P30 Pro has a screen size of 158 x 73.4 x 8.4 mm. It is a bit thinker than that of Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and Phone XS Max. You don't have to worry because it feels thinner and narrower than you think. It's isn't heavy, it weighs 192g. It's quite big, it's difficult for those with small hands to use it one-handed.
The smartphone base consists of the speaker and the USB-C port flanked one-sided and the SIM tray on the other side. The SIM tray is capable of holding two nanoSIM cards, in either way you can use the second slot to expand the storage capacity.
Huwaei uses a card format smaller than that of microSD card which will catch on as time goes on. The right side of the phone consists of the power button and the volume keys. It's also dust and water resistant which can be submerged for up to 30min in fresh water.
Huwaei P30 Pro has a display of 6.47-inch OLED, 1080 x 2340 screen size, 19:5:9 display with 398ppi, it's bright, colorful and clear enough to read any text and enjoy the excellent viewing experience. The cons are that the graphics intensity does not match other top-tier phones, it's still looking good anyways.
Battery
Lathe Battery Capacity
Wireless Charging
The battery life of Huwaei P30 Pro is quite amazing because of it last, and majorly for heavy phone users. It has a battery capacity of 4200mAh which is quite larger than most smartphones, and it gives excellent usage statistics. During our test, we used P30 Pro to watch some long videos, a few hours of music, and heavy office work from morning till daybreak, the battery percentage drops to 35%.
A decent user would be able to use a fully charged Huwaei P30 Pro for two days and a half. This excellent battery capacity is majorly made for heavy users. It's Power Saving Mode limits activity done on the background, stops visual effect, reduced screen brightness and disable auto synchronization in apps. The Ultimate Power Saving mode doubles the battery life saving, it switches to monochrome interface basics, whereas it provides default app usage which can be picked by one's choice.
The main point is that a heavy user who streams online for hours has to keep in touch with the battery percentage because it drops faster at this point. Its wireless charging is excellent but isn't as fast as another top-tier smartphone. P30 Pro can charge itself with the use of the wireless pad, however, for fast charging, you still have to plug it.
Camera
Excellent Low-light Performance
Four Rear Cameras
The fascinating feature of P30 Pro is its camera setup. On the rear camera, you'll get to see a quad-camera array which consists of 40MP main sensor, 20MP ultra-wide angle sensor, 8MP telephoto camera ace Time of Flight depth-sensing camera. Opening the main camera app, by default it launches the Photo mode. Straight allows snap, shots are majorly captured in this mode, photos taken in this mode are channeled with the use of the 40MP main sensor.
The images taken are perfectly detailed and doesn't require much professional editing. Making use of the zoom is quite easy, you just have to tap the dot above in the camera app with "1x" which is positioned at the right-side. The zoom picture doesn't let images lose quality which is quite amazing. Not to forget your hands must be still for just a second after tapping the shutters button in order not to lose the image quality.
The camera is quite nice while taking low light shots, items well detailed, clear and vibrant. Even at extremely low light, it works pretty well. Making use of the Night Mode is also perfect while taking pictures in extreme darkness. The Time of Flight sensor enables this smartphone to capture detailed images for excellent portrait shots.
It also has an excellent background blur with perfect, while your subject in the foreground is in perfect focus. Italic defines its subject perfecting and blurring the background behind them. Where's the front camera has no Time of Flight sensor, notwithstanding it still ranges nice shots on portrait mode with excellent detail.
Interface
OS- Pie (Android 9)
iOS icon Display
It's funny when your icon and app drawer looks exactly like that of iOS, you can easily trick your friends that you're using an iPhone, you can also change the lock screen of your smartphone week the use of a theme store app (Default) where you can get a free and paid theme.
It comes with Google's Suite which is installed on default. Huawei gave its users the ability to pre-install some of its default app.
Even though the apps which are duplicates of that of Google can't be uninstalled either, but one can hide them. Google apps are easy to use than that of Huawei. The always-on display feature is excellent, it shows notifications icon, time date and battery status even when the phone is locked or the screen is off. It makes it easier to check, even with a mere glance.
It has a Full HD+ display, even with that the video isn't as vibrant and colourful as that of Samsung AMOLED display, it's a thing to worry about for Netflix streamers and Video gamers, but trust me it isn't that worse but we expected something better.
P30 Pro does not lag, it has the ability to handle any app threat at it. The clarity of audios are quite bad, it's something to worry about.
Storage
8GB RAM
512GB Highest Expandable Storage
Huawei P30 Pro as nice storage capacity isn't quite different from that of Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it has 8GB RAM a Karin chipset of 980.
P30 Pro comes in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB variant. The affordable one is the 128GB, it offers enough storage. It has a nanoSD card format for storage space. It's funny when some people put the top portion of the handset near their ear to receive audio calls. Do not forget the earpiece speaker for calls on built into the screen. The speaker for calls is clear enough.
Verdict
The designs of Huawei P30 People is quite astonishing, having four rest cameras, 512GB expandable storage and high performance. It's one of the best top-tier phones in the world at the moment. Ain't you overwhelmed using a phone with excellent detailed photos? If you don't we'll opt you go for the Huawei P30 Pro.
